  • 2/25 Writing a Diversity Statement

    Writing a Diversity Statement
    Friday, February 25, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Presenter: Tina Huey, CETL – Faculty Development
    Location: online

Teaching talks are interactive sessions. Unlike webinars, teaching talks are heavily shaped by participation, though they are facilitated by CETL staff and faculty affiliates who offer tools, resources, and prompts for reflection and discussion.

The thematic focus for this session is crafting a diversity statement for a job search or PTR review.

    Proposed Objectives

    • Discuss the diversity statement as a part of, or independent from, a broader teaching philosophy statement
    • Explore rubrics for reading a diversity statement
    • Begin drafting in response to prompts provided for reflection on diversity commitments
    • Share what is on your mind

If you would like a 1:1 consultation with CETL staff please reach out via the web site
