  • 1/31 Cell Phone Orders, Management, and Support

    The University is changing delivery and support of cellular services. Cellular services have been managed by Information Technology Services (ITS), but starting January 31, 2022, these services will be delivered by Motus, a wireless device management service. ITS selected Motus as the new service provider for university-issued cellular phones to give our community enhanced, 24-hour support and the added convenience of online ordering and management.

     Starting on January 31, 2022, you will use Motus’ online portal to:

    • Order and upgrade wireless devices (i.e., smartphones) and accessories
    • Select and manage your plans, including international services
    • Monitor usage and charges
    • Submit support requests

    All orders and plan changes go through a workflow that automates authentication, approvals, and fulfillment. A KFS number is required for purchases.

    For additional information and to preview the Motus portal, visit the overview page on kb.uconn.edu. If you need assistance with cellular devices before January 31st, continue to contact the ITS Technology Support Center. On the launch date, ITS will publish the URL to the portal.
