  • Add Nikole Hannah-Jones Event to Your Syllabus

As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, UCHI is bringing Pulitzer-prize winning journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones to our campus. On March 30th at 2:00pm in the Student Union Theater, Hannah-Jones and UConn's own Manisha Sinha will discuss Hannah-Jones' work as an advocate for people of color in journalism and as a writer working to change the way we think about race in the United States. As you prepare your classes for this semester, consider adding attendance at the event to your syllabus. In-person attendees are asked to register with a UConn email address via Eventbrite, and anyone with a working NetID will be able to access the event livestream on our website. Leading up to the event, we will be collecting questions for Nikole Hannah-Jones via online form (access to the form will be limited to those with a NetID).

ACCESS NOTE: An ASL interpreter will be present for the duration of the event. If you require accommodations to attend the event, please write to uchi@uconn.edu by Wednesday, March 23rd.

Many thanks to our event cosponsors: the Office of the Provost, the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, the UConn Foundation, the Neag School of Education, the Africana Studies Institute, the Human Rights Institute, the History Department, and the Journalism Department.
