  • Need a Higher Ed Grad Assistant?

Could your office benefit from having a part-time student-centered professional to support and lead efforts on supporting students and programs in your unit? Each year, the Higher Education and Student Affairs graduate program enrolls 18-20 master's students who have prior experience and future aspirations to work as college administrators/educators. In addition, during their graduate program, they take 2 years of courses that further advances their theoretical and practical knowledge and skills about college administration/education, with an emphasis on student development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (review our program competencies and curriculum). Please review a brief document that highlights the unique experiences and knowledge that HESA graduate students bring to their graduate assistantship sites.

Interested? The commitment to become a HESA-affiliated Graduate Assistant Site entails making a 2-year funding commitment of a 20-hour graduate assistant. Want to learn more? Please contact Dr. Kenny Nienhusser at: h._kenny.nienhusser@uconn.edu
