The General Education Oversight Committee (GEOC) is seeking both a Co-Chair as well as additional members to fill out its CA1 Arts and Humanities subcommittee. Subcommittee members review course proposals and course alignment documents throughout the academic year. The subcommittee generally does not meet synchronously but conducts most business via email.
The CA1 Subcommittee Co-Chair works cooperatively with a second Co-Chair (currently Kelly Dennis) to manage subcommittee business. The Co-Chair also sits on the full GEOC, which does meet synchronously online every two weeks. GEOC Co-Chairs must be officially nominated by the University Senate.
Faculty members from any discipline and any campus are eligible for consideration. CA1 especially seeks members from HIST, AAAS, AFRA, AMST, and DRAM.
