    Arthur Liverant, nationally known expert in 18th and 19th century American furniture, presents an entertaining talk on the history of American children’s chairs 1700-1950. Some of the chairs are in the "Childhood in American Art" exhibition currently on view in the museum. Mr. Liverant is a third generation antiques dealer and owner of the Antiques and Fine Arts store founded in 1920, Nathan Liverant and Son, LLC., located in Colchester, CT. The store specializes in American furniture, American material culture, and fine art from 1700-1840.
