  • Clean Energy Club Looking for Students & Advisers

Interested in environmental economics? Liam Enea, a sophomore ARE major, is interested in establishing a new extracurricular group that focuses on the energy sector and renewable power generation. With regulatory exploration paving the way for large-scale demand response programs, solar-plus-storage, virtual power plants, innovative ratemaking, community solar, and Community Choice Aggregation in Connecticut, a group of this type could bring greater student education and advocacy to the brand-new field. These developments could drastically reduce emissions, decentralize and fortify the grid, and lower ratepayers' bills. He discussed these innovations in a recent Connecticut Mirror op-ed.

Clean Energy Advocates would ideally meet once a week to learn and discuss sector-related developments and craft events and initiatives designed to raise awareness of them. If you might be interested in joining or advising a group of this type, or would like greater detail, please email Liam below!
