    Marilyn Miller is the Sizeler Professor of Jewish Studies and Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Tulane University. She is the author of Rise and Fall of the Cosmic Race: The Cult of Mestizaje in Latin America (2004) and Port of No Return: Enemy Alien Internment in WWII New Orleans (LSU Press, May 2021).

    Eduardo Halfon is the author of fourteen books published in Spanish and three novels published in English: Mourning, winner of the International Latino Book Award and Edward Lewis Wallant Award, finalist for the Kirkus Prize, Neustadt International Prize, and Balcones Fiction Prize, and longlisted for the PEN Translation Prize; Monastery, longlisted for the Best Translated Book Award; and The Polish Boxer, a New York Times Editors’ Choice selection.
