Recordings for meetings have been saved automatically in Microsoft Stream. Starting August 16th, all new recordings will be stored on and served from OneDrive. All existing recordings in Stream will not be affected and will remain accessible.
Microsoft is requiring this change as part of their long-term plan for service evolution. Storage on OneDrive also introduces enhancements to file sharing, management of permissions, accessibility (i.e., transcript of dialogue), and search.
The location of the saved recording is determined by who (person or team) initiated the recording. Organizers will have full viewing and editing privileges, and both the initiator and organizer can set permissions for other attendees.
