  • UConn Supported Student Response System: iClicker

This fall you may be considering a student response system in your class.  The UConn supported system is iClicker. We’re encouraging instructors to use the iClicker Cloud version for the instructor and the instructor can decide which device students can use, the physical remote and/or the app (called iClicker Student).  If using the physical remote, the student and instructor must be in the same room at the same time, it cannot be used remotely.  We’re offering workshops for instructors on setting up, running polling, and transferring grades to HuskyCT.  Also, you can read this article, iClicker Cloud: Instructor Guide to learn more about it at UConn.  Students can purchase the iClicker bundle from the Bookstore for $49.30, this includes the physical remote and a 5-year subscription for the app.  There is also a 6-month subscription available if the student only needs it for one semester or 6-months.

Other student response systems are available and are paid for by the instructor, department or a free version is used.  If a different system is used, the instructor must ensure that any FERPA data collected is protected.
