  • 11/14 Speak at TEDxUConnSalon: Connecting the Dots

The TEDxUConn team is currently looking for any faculty members interested in speaking at our TEDxUConn Fall 2021 Salon Conference: Connecting the Dots. The tentative date is Sunday, November 14th 2021.

TEDxUConn is a student run group, licensed by TED, that independently organizes the TEDxUConn event each year. Our goal is to bring together members of our community to give talks that provoke learning, inspiration, wonder, and conversation. Our conferences are structured around a theme, and our theme for this conference is Connecting the Dots.

We take a look around us and notice all the elements that surround us as seemingly individual parts. However, those unrelated elements have the potential to come together in unexpected ways. For instance, big ideas can come from a combination of smaller ideas. Tracing through the course of our lives, how can we connect our experiences to achieve a greater understanding? How can we draw a bigger picture by Connecting the Dots?

Please remember that this statement is meant as a guide and abstract starting point relating to our theme.

Please fill out the application below and remember that the power of TED talks are rooted in their accessibility and relatability, so consider how your idea appeals to a global audience!
