Volunteers are needed to participate in a research study determining how a new noise reduction program can impact speech perception in noise.
We are looking for adults between the ages of 18-75 years with mild to moderate hearing loss to participate. Participants may or may not be hearing aid users. The study will take place over one session at the UCONN Aural Rehabilitation Laboratory on the Storrs Campus. Participants will be asked to repeat back sentences in noise. We are conducting this research study to find out if a new noise reduction system from SETEM Technologies, Inc provides benefit for listening to speech in noise for individuals with hearing loss.
Participants will receive a free hearing screening and will be compensated for their time at the end of each session.
