Volunteers Wanted for a Paid Research Study
Do you have Chronic Low Back Pain?
We are currently recruiting participants for a paid research study that is evaluating pain sensitivity during an episode of low back pain. Participation includes:
- Completing questionnaires about your pain
- Undergoing a sensory assessment
- Providing blood and saliva samples
- Watching online modules over 12 weeks
This study includes two visits to the pain research lab at University of Connecticut School of Nursing bio-behavioral lab in Storrs or Farmington, and participation from home.
You may be eligible if you:
- Are 18-60 years
- Have had low back pain for at least 3 of the last 6 months
- Do not have a specific cause of back pain, such as a herniated disc or trauma
You will not be eligible if you:
- Have other conditions that cause pain
- Have neurological deficits such as weakness
- Are pregnant or within 3-months post-partum
- Had previous spinal surgery
Participants will receive up to $140 for completing the study.
