    Volunteers Wanted for a Paid Research Study

    Do you have Chronic Low Back Pain?

    We are currently recruiting participants for a paid research study that is evaluating pain sensitivity during an episode of low back pain. Participation includes:

    • Completing questionnaires about your pain
    • Undergoing a sensory assessment
    • Providing blood and saliva samples
    • Watching online modules over 12 weeks

    This study includes two visits to the pain research lab at University of Connecticut School of Nursing bio-behavioral lab in Storrs or Farmington, and participation from home.

    You may be eligible if you:

    • Are 18-60 years
    • Have had low back pain for at least 3 of the last 6 months
    • Do not have a specific cause of back pain, such as a herniated disc or trauma

    You will not be eligible if you:

    • Have other conditions that cause pain
    • Have neurological deficits such as weakness
    • Are pregnant or within 3-months post-partum
    • Had previous spinal surgery

    Participants will receive up to $140 for completing the study.
