    Acclaimed Author, Sharon Robinson to Speak at UConn Stamford's 10th Annual Black History Month Celebration.

     

    Stamford, CT- On Thursday, February 27th, The Connecticut Information Technology Institute, School of Business and the UConn Co-op will host the 10th Annual Black History Month Celebration. Sharon Robinson, acclaimed author is the Keynote Speaker.

    Sharon Robinson, daughter of baseball legend Jackie Robinson, is an educational consultant for Major League Baseball and Vice Chair of the Jackie Robinson Foundation. She has written several widely praised fiction and nonfiction books including Promises to Keep: How Jackie Robinson Changed America, Testing the Ice: A True Story About Jackie Robinson, and the middle grade novels Safe at Home and Slam Dunk. Her most recent publication, Under the Same Sun which was released on January 7, 2014 will be available for purchase at the event.

    Ms. Robinson is scheduled to speak at the UConn Stamford Campus, One University Place, Stamford, CT at 12:30PM.

    There will be a book signing opportunity immediately following her presentation. Her books will be available for sale at the UConn Co-op Bookstore.
