It is with great sadness that I share the news that Dr. Mark Ross, Professor Emeritus passed away. Dr. Ross was a faculty member at UConn for many years before retiring in the late 1980s. He is considered one of the pioneers in the field of pediatric audiology and aural rehabilitation. A graduate of Stanford University, Dr. Ross came to UConn and helped to establish the audiology program. As a person with hearing loss, Dr. Ross held a unique prospective on the field of hearing rehabilitation. As a gifted clinician, researcher, and educator he had a profound impact on generations of students and clinicians to the betterment of the patients and families served.
