    Making Voices Heard: Diversity, Disadvantage, and Discrimination in Educational Settings: Video launch with Q&A – A WebEx event on April 22 at 4:00-5:30.

    Please join the Center for the Study of Culture, Health, & Human Development for the launch of its new video Making Voices Heard: Diversity, Disadvantage, and Discrimination in Educational Settings,” funded by an award from the President’s Commitment to Community Initiative. Following introductory remarks by Dr. Franklin Tuitt, Vice President and Chief Diversity Office at UConn, the video will feature diverse UConn undergraduates, graduate students, and young professionals in conversations about experiences of racism and how we can respond positively to current challenges. Faculty members Alaina Brenick (HDFS) and Clewiston Challenger (Educational Psychology) will discuss research and ways forward. Wrapping up the event, individuals featured in the video will be with us to respond to questions and comments from the audience.
