  • Career Advocate of the Year - Call for Nominations

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a member of the UConn community is advising and mentoring students. To recognize all of the career support that so many provide to students at UConn, the Center for Career Development asks that you take a moment to submit a nomination for the Career Advocate of the Year Awards!

There are two Advocate of the Year awards, one highlighting a member of the UConn faculty and staff, and one celebrating the work of an employer or alum. Nominating an individual is a great way to acknowledge and recognize their efforts in supporting students' career development.

The Faculty/Staff Career Advocate of the Year can be any member of the UConn community who provides students with career development support, including faculty, academic advisors, on-campus employment supervisors, student club advisors, and more. Click here to submit a nomination for the Faculty/Staff Career Advocate of the Year

The Employer/Alumni Career Advocate of the year can be an individual not working directly for UConn who supports students' career goals, including those who facilitate internships and other experiential learning opportunities, recruiters searching for UConn student talent, employers or alumni who speak in your classes or to student groups, alumni advising and mentoring students, and more. Click here to submit a nomination for the Employer/Alumni Career Advocate of the Year.

Nominations are due by Friday, April 2. All nominees will be recognized, and there is no limit on the number of individuals you can nominate.

If you have any questions about the awards, please reach out to the Career Center at CareerChampions@uconn.edu. Thank you for helping recognize all of the great career development support provided by members of the UConn community!
