Facilitating Small Groups and Teams in your Course
    Monday, March 29, 4:00 – 5:15
Location: A WebEx link will be emailed to registrants on the day
Presenters: Tina Huey, CETL-Faculty Development and Khalilah Arrington

How can we connect students to each other, and to the course subject, through group work? What do you think about when you think about design and assessment of group/team activities and projects?

Teaching talks are interactive sessions where you can meet other instructors to discuss a particular theme or topic related to teaching, mentoring, and course design. Unlike webinars, teaching talks are heavily shaped by participation, though they are facilitated by CETL staff and faculty affiliates who offer tools, resources, and prompts for reflection and discussion. The objectives for this session include:

    • Discuss the affordances and limitations of group work
    • Share ideas for addressing the challenges of team projects
    • Share what’s on your mind
