Starting on March 10, 2021, ITS is going to begin archiving files saved on departmental (Q:) and research (R:) drives. Files that have not been accessed or modified for six or more months will be moved to secondary storage designed for long-term file retention.
Files moved to the archive will remain visible in the file folder, but the file icon will have a small ‘x’ in the bottom corner. These files can still be accessed, and all the normal functions performed, but there will be a small delay when opening an archived file. More information is available on the Knowledge Base.
