    Professor Paula Findlen of Stanford University is the Gender & History Visiting Scholar for the 2020-21 year.

    On Wednesday, February 10, please join us from 12:15-1:30 PM EST for an informal lunchtime seminar of Professor Findlen's essay, "Aristotle in the Pharmacy: The Ambitions of Camilla Erculiani in Sixteenth-Century Padua." This essay explores why a woman apothecary in late sixteenth-century Padua published a rather unorthodox and interesting work of natural philosophy and was investigated by the Paduan Inquisition.
