Feminista Jones is a Philadelphia-based feminist writer, public speaker, retired social worker, and community activist. Feminista Jones has devoted her life to righting the wrongs of society. A social worker for over 15 years, she has worked hard in the fight to end poverty, hunger, and homelessness, and has been a fierce advocate for people facing obstacles caused by gender, race, and disability discrimination. She is also an award-winning blogger and author of four books, including the critically acclaimed 2019 release, Reclaiming Our Space: How Black Feminists Are Changing the World From the Tweets to the Streets.
Admission to this event is free. All members of the UConn community are welcome to attend. The link to the livestream will be available at least 1 week prior to the event.
