The University grieves the loss of a dear friend, colleague and valued member of our community, Barbara Gilblair, who passed away on January 17, 2021.
Barbara served as the assistant to the director of undergraduate admissions for over a decade prior to her retirement from the University on January 1, 2021. During her time in undergraduate admissions, she was an invaluable resource to so many of us, not only at the University, but also to prospective students and their families. Barbara was a beloved member of the UConn community and we are heartbroken by her loss.
Funeral services will be graveside and private. Condolences to the Gilblair family may be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 2131 Hillside Road, Unit 3088, Storrs, CT 06269-3088.
