Three UConn instructors and graduate students recently published blogs for the That Wasn't on the Syllabus, a blog on college instruction connected to UConn's Graduate Certificate in College Instruction. The three authors reflect on lessons learned during the shift to remote teaching and share insights and practical tips with readers. Mollie Kervick relays her three tenets of pandemic pegagogy, emphasizing trust, care, and vulnerability. Megan Lyons explains how she infused pop culture into her courses in order to engage students in the online format, and Samadrita Kuiti shares techniques that kept students connected and engaged in asynchronous courses. We hope these pieces help instructors as they prepare for another semester of mostly online teaching.
