  • 11/13 History Department Foreign Policy Seminar

    Please join us for the third, and final fall semester meeting, of the UConn History Department’s Foreign Policy Seminar. Our next meeting is tonight, November 13. The speaker this evening will be Professor Vanessa Walker. She is the Morgan Assistant Professor in Diplomatic History at Amherst College. Her research focuses on the interchange between international and domestic spheres and actors. Her current book project argues for the centrality of Latin American in the development of U.S. human rights policies and debates in the Ford and Carter presidencies.

    Her talk is entitled, “The Politics of Complicity: Human Rights in U.S.-Latin American Relations.” The talk will start at 5 PM EST. A Q&A will immediately follow. All are welcome.
