The Institute of International Education (IIE) is accepting nominations for emergency fund grant awards for international students on F-1 or J-1 visas who face serious economic hardship due to COVID-19. If you have a student in your program who should be considered for a $1500 grant, please contact Rae Alexander, Director of International Student and Scholar Services, by August 4th.
Eligibility for grant consideration:
- Demonstrate to campus officials that they are facing financial hardship as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic;
- Demonstrate that their financial ability to pay for their essential expenses has been seriously disrupted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Be enrolled for the fall 2020 semester;
- Have the appropriate non-immigration visa status (only F-1 and J-1 visa holders are eligible for an ESF award)
