Portion of Jim Calhoun Way Closing – Access to Hilltop Apartments, Lot I and Freitas Ice Forum to Change
Construction continues at a steady pace in the Athletics District with the baseball stadium substantially complete and other facilities on-schedule for completion this fall and early next year.
Due to the installation of subsurface utilities and other site improvements, a portion of Jim Calhoun Way – between Freitas Ice Forum and Husky Circle – will close to traffic June 10th through August 26th.
Other travel restrictions will result from this closure:
- Lot I and Freitas Ice Forum may be accessed only from campus via Jim Calhoun Way from either Alumni Drive or Hillside Road.
- Beginning June 15th, access to Hilltop Apartments from Separatist Road will be restricted to authorized vehicles only.
Additionally, those near the construction zone may hear low rumbles from occasional rock blasting during the months of June and July.
