Students, staff, and faculty are invited to the first Undergraduate One Health Conference on February 8th from 10am-4pm! One Health is the concept that human, animal, and environmental health are all interconnected and that they affect each other. Featuring speakers, an information and research fair, workshop activities such as DIY laundry detergent, and everyday solutions to make the world a healthier place!
Guest speakers:
Rob Werner: the New Hampshire State Director for the League of Conservation Voters and serves on the Concord City Council, chairing the Energy and Environment Advisory Committee. He will be talking about climate change impacts, public health, and the benefits of transitioning to a clean energy economy.
Dr. Sandra Bushmich: Associate Dean of Academic Programs and CAHNR at UConn, a veterinarian, and does research on zoonotic diseases. She will be talking about a One Health view of tick-borne diseases in CT.
