Dear Colleagues,
I write to let you that Rachel Rudnick, UConn’s Chief Privacy Officer, will be leaving the university on November 22, having accepted a position in the private sector. Rachel was appointed by President Susan Herbst in February 2018 to serve as the University’s first Chief Privacy Officer. Prior to this appointment, Rachel was the Storrs-based Privacy Officer, the Assistant Director of Compliance and Freedom of Information coordinator. She first joined UConn in 2006.
Those of you who have worked with Rachel know the great integrity, professionalism and energy that she brought to her work, and she will certainly be missed. Please join me in thanking Rachel for her service and in wishing her well.
I will be announcing appointments in the coming days to manage privacy on the Storrs and regional campuses and at UConn Health in Farmington on an interim basis following Rachel’s departure.
Tom
