UConn Extension and the Connecticut Institute for Water Resources are teaming up to sponsor the following seminar:
“Linking source water protection and agricultural practices”
by Dr. Chi Ho Sham, Vice President and Chief Scientist, Eastern Research Group, Inc.
The seminar will be April 24 from 12:00-1:00 PM in Room YNG 002
The purpose of the presentation is to provide information on the linkages between source water protection and agriculture practices, and the opportunities under the 2018 Farm Bill to support conservation practices to protect drinking water supply sources.
Dr. Chi Ho Sham is a Vice President and the Chief Scientist of Eastern Research Group, Inc. Over the past three decades, he has worked extensively in drinking water protection and water quality analysis. He is currently the chair of the Technical and Educational Council of the American Water Works Association. In addition, he is an adjunct professor of the International Development, Communities, and Environment program and a research fellow of the George Perkin Marsh Institute at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. He received his B.A. from the University of Regina in Canada and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo.
