This year’s UConn Reads program has shifted its sights to encompass a wide-ranging, imaginative, and highly popular genre. Specifically, the University’s UConn Reads initiative has selected science fiction as its focus for the next academic year. A capacious genre, science fiction is, as Ray Bradbury famously averred, “the history of ideas, and they’re always ideas that work themselves out and become real and happen in the world.”
