    • Student led Guided Tours 12:00-8:00 PM
    • Annual Garlic Harvest  5:00-7:00 PM

Ever wondered how garlic grows? Come discover how you can grow outstanding garlic in your own backyard! Experience the excitement of unearthing fresh garlic that has been growing since last October.

While at the farm you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or supper to enjoy under the shade trees in the beautiful scenic Willimantic River valley.

The farm is home to 8 students this summer who are growing an amazing variety of vegetables and herbs served at Chuck and Augie’s restaurant in the Student Union and at select dining halls. The produce is also for sale at the Farm Fresh Market on Fairfield Way on Thursdays from 11:30 to 2:00.

Spring Valley Student Farm is collaboration with Dining Services, Residential Life, EcoHouse as part of First Year Programs and Learning Communities, and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
