UCONN SJP presents Gaza Lights Out, which is a event focused on the siege existing in Gaza. The keynote speech will be addressed by Jehad Abusalim, who will give an academic perspective on the current state of Gaza. Addtionally, there will be Dabke dancers, comedian, poet, and an oud player who will bring the cultural viewpoint of the art and music of the Palestinian people. Rather than allowing media to paint the Gaza siege with one perspective, come out and learn the reality of the occupation.
