Are you wondering how to assess class participation in discussions? Come to this teaching talk! Topics of interest to participants may include: The benefits of multi-modality & multimedia for discussions; Socratic methods, synthesizing, and connecting the dots; Designing your course to activate student voice; Using movement, voice, signposting, and wait time; Supporting equitable participation; Navigating difficult moments.
