Breast Cancer Screenings – Know When & What You Should Get

Are you in between the age of 50 and 74? The United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends that women who are 50 to 74 years old and are at average risk for breast cancer get a mammogram every two years.

Men should cautious too! In general, men are diagnosed with breast cancer at more advanced stages than women.

    Types of Screenings:

    • Mammogram
    • Breast MRI
    • Clinical breast exam
    • Breast self-exam

Go get screened! Most health insurance plans are required to cover screening mammograms every one to two years for women beginning at age 40 with no out-of-pocket cost (like a co-pay, deductible, or co-insurance).
