Apple recently announced and has released a patch for a critical vulnerability in all Apple devices. The vulnerability called “forcedentry” allows an attacker to send a specially crafted message that allows the attacker to install software on the target device with no interaction required on the part of the device owner.
We encourage all users of personal or university-owned Apple devices (phones, tablets, computers and watches) to install the latest updates on their devices immediately. For University managed devices that have not been patched by 9/19, we will force a patch update beginning 9/20.
