Dear friends,
I’m so pleased to announce that UConn’s graduate Arts Leadership and Cultural Management (ALCM) Program is opening a new chapter in its relationship with Connecticut’s arts and culture sector as it becomes the first resident academic program at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum, Hartford.
The Arts Leadership and Cultural Management Program provides leadership training at the master’s level to meet the challenges of keeping the arts alive in Connecticut and beyond. Original research projects and for-credit internships are essential components of our students’ training and we hope that a close partnership with all of you will benefit our students and your organizations.
Along with the Wadsworth’s Georgette Auerbach Koopman Director of Education Anne Rice and ALCM Program Director, Dr. Constance DeVereaux, I would like to invite you to a virtual tour of our new space at the Wadsworth, and to learn more about the UConn/Wadsworth partnership to train tomorrow’s arts leaders.
This virtual event will take place Tuesday, June 15, 10 am-12 pm, and includes:
- Mini-tour of Wadsworth Athenaeum and the ALCM center
- Research project presentations from ALCM leadership students and alumni
- Networking with Connecticut arts and culture organizations
Please email Arielle Hill-Moses (arielle.hill-moses@uconn.edu) for a link to the event.
Looking forward to welcoming you to the conversation on June 15!
Warmly,
Anne D’Alleva
Dean, School of Fine Arts
