The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) is excited to announce the seventh annual Student Speaker Competition for the CLAS 2021 undergraduate commencement ceremonies. Two graduating students will be selected to present remarks on behalf of their fellow graduates at their respective ceremonies, on Sunday May 9, 2021.
Students who are interested should submit a Microsoft Word document and an audio recording of their speech to clas@uconn.edu, making sure to include their full name, Peoplesoft number and major(s). The speech should be no longer than 5 minutes. Submissions will be accepted until April 22, 2021.
Faculty, staff and students from CLAS will review all submissions. Finalists will be asked to audition their speech via videoconference during the week of April 26th.
