Recruiting men and women 45 - 75 years old who have are currently in remission of a depressive disorder for a study of emotional control in healthy aging and depression.
This study is being done to identify the behaviors and brain circuits that cause problems with emotional control and may relate to depression relapse. We expect the results of this study will inform the future development of new prevention or treatment interventions for depression.
Participation involves:
- 12-14 hours of your time over the next 12 months in 4–5 appointments Interviews and evaluations
- Testing of thinking & memory
- One-time MRI brain scan at UConn Health No cost for participation
*all appointments except for the MRI can be done remotely
Payment to participants includes $100 at completion of the baseline assessments, $50 after completing the 6-month assessments, and $50 after completing the 12-month assessment visits for a total of up to $200 for the 1-year study.
