This year, with new financial support from the School of Engineering, the popular Kids Are Scientists Too (KAST) program is expanding its engineering offerings and changing its name to Kids Are Scientists and Engineers Too (KASET). The expansion is part of the university-wide Next Generation Connecticut (NextGenCT) initiative. One goal of the initiative is to boost enrollment in the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and math) at UConn to meet future state workforce needs.
