Due to the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays falling on our regular maintenance day (the last Thursday of the month), our monthly REDCap maintenance will instead take place one week earlier for both November and December:
- Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM ET
- Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM ET
Impact on Development & Production
REDCap Development and Production systems will be unavailable while we perform routine upgrades that includes important security patches and bug fixes. For more details: REDCap Upgrade Details.
During the maintenance window:
- REDCap Systems will be offline and inaccessible.
- Users will not be able to create new projects or access existing ones.
- Survey emails will be paused until the upgrade completes.
- Survey links will display a “REDCap is offline” message if clicked.
Recommended Action Needed
- Download and save a backup of your projects and data before the Production upgrade. This is also recommended as a routine practice; See: Managing Your Data.
- Mobile App Users: Sync all data from your devices to your REDCap projects before the upgrade begins. Offline data collection can continue during the outage, but online sync will not be available until the upgrade finishes.
If you have time-sensitive activities scheduled during this window, please plan accordingly.
