Student Organization Events & Information

  • 1/17 Join the WHUS News Department

Are you a journalism student interested in getting experience "in the field"? Do you want to write and publish stories for the Husky community? Are you a fan of photography and want a chance to publish those photos? Do you want to learn how to use a soundboard and see what the WHUS radio station is all about?

Come by the WHUS news department meeting! We encourage you to take on a story and learn the whole process of being a news reporter from reporting and writing to recording and publishing.

Never taken a class in journalism? No problem! Any student is welcome to come and learn. Really not into writing? That's okay! Feel free to join as a photographer or perhaps you just want to read the stories and work on your news anchor voice. Whatever you want to work on, we welcome you to our department.

Meetings are weekly, every Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the WHUS radio station (Student Union Room 412) in the big room.

Our first meeting is today, so stop by, try something new and make a few friends along the way. We look forward to meeting you!
