  • Director Designate, Peter J. Werth Institute

Sent on behalf of Jeremy Teitelbaum, Interim Provost & Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs:

I am delighted to report that I have appointed David Noble to serve as Director Designate (and later Director) of the Peter J. Werth Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Professor Noble has been one of the key leaders in the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Consortium developed by the Schools of Business and Engineering – with cooperation from the VPR and other units on campus – that is the foundation on which the new Institute will be built.  Professor Noble will begin his new position immediately and his first task will be to seek formal approval of the Institute by the Board of Trustees.

David Noble is currently an Assistant Professor in Residence in the School of Business, where he researches and teaches entrepreneurship and strategy. He serves as the director of Xcite: the Conference for Women in Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship and has recently launched a new blockchain startup, together with 3 UConn alumni, called Integritas Solutions Corp.  Prior to UConn, David was a securities and corporate finance attorney, with experience representing startups from the formation through IPO process. He has extensive non-profit board experience. He holds a Ph.D in Management from the University of Alabama, a J.D. from the University of Miami, a M.B.A. from the Elon University, and B.S. in Political Science from Northeastern University.

I look forward to working with David in this important role.  Please join me in congratulating him on this new position.
