  • 11/12 Learn to Stop The Bleed, Save a Life

    UConn Rescue is excited to host the following new class to the greater university community and the public for free once a month during this academic year! 

    This 2 hour class is designed to teach people of all medical and non-medical backgrounds what to do in the case of a life-threatening bleeding emergency before emergency services arrive on scene. A bleeding emergency can result from almost anything, from a car accident to a simple fall. In this class, learn to stop a major bleeding incident in any scenario. You could potentially save a life! This class is two hours long and will include an interactive learning session in a relaxed setting. Each student who completes the class will receive a certificate of completion.

    The following dates are scheduled, with more to be announced for the spring semester:

    Stop the Bleed Sun. 11/12 6-8pm

    Stop the Bleed Mon. 12/4 5-7pm

    Each class is limited to 25 students.  The course is FREE of charge, and everyone is welcome to attend! Open to students, faculty & staff, and the general public.

    LOCATION: On UConn Storrs Campus.  To be announced for each class.  Most likely Benjamin Koons Hall 1st Floor or Beach Hall 3rd Floor.
