You are invited to join Earthtones, the UConn World Music Ensemble, as we delve into the music, history and culture associated with the Vietnam Era, specifically commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Tet Offensive (January, 1968), a critical turning point in the conflict. The program-Voices of Vietnam: Music and Memories- is based around folk and rock songs local Vietnam Veterans recall as being particularly meaningful to them. We welcome students who seek to share their voices with Vietnam Veterans for a unique artistic and cultural experience.
Earthtones is open to all students (no auditions) and fulfills 1 credit towards the CA1 Arts and Humanities requirement. The course (FINA 1001/MUSI 1006) meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:30 in ML103. Come join us.
