Benton:  Take a Break Visit the Museum!

We are open this summer through the end of July.  Take a break and bring all your friends to explore our wonderful exhibitions.

    Tours:

Self-guided tours are perfect for people who just want to come and look around on their own time or Docent-led tours.

    Exhibitions:
    Permanent Exhibition:
From Old Masters to Revolutionaries: Five Centuries of the Benton’s Best.

Current Exhibitions:  Open until July 30, 2017
Work It  features paintings by Ellen Emmet Rand and other women artists in the first half of the 20th century—how they fought for opportunities, paid their bills, and found ways to have their art and creativity seen and taken seriously.
Objectifying Myself  explores work by women artists, created between 1968 and 2005, which serve, to some degree, as self-portraits. But these “self-portraits” employ surrogate objects rather than depictions of the artists’ faces or bodies.
An Installation.  Liz Whitney Quisgard is an award-winning, nationally renowned artist who lives and works in New York City.  Her career spans six decades and the work in this installation features an environment of patterned textiles and sculpture created in the last two decades.
