  • 3/23 Alumna Lecture: Abby Fitzpatrick, GE Engineer

    Leadership in Action (LIA) is proud to present UConn alumna, Abby Fitzpatrick. 

    Abby Fitzpatrick is currently a Lead Design Engineer at General Electric (GE) Power in Schenectady, New York.  In this role she designs creative solutions for turbine and generator auxiliary equipment for GE’s installed base of power generation equipment.

    Abby attended University of Connecticut where she was an active member of the Society of Hispanic Engineers. She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating from UConn, Abby moved to Pittsburgh, PA where she worked as an Assistant Project Manager for Westinghouse Electric. In 2011, Abby left Westinghouse to pursue a more technical engineering career at GE Power in Schenectady, New York. In parallel, she completed the Advanced Courses in Engineering program through GE and obtained a Masters in Mechanical Engineering in 2016 from Georgia Tech.
