  • 12/9 This Friday at UCHC: Culture Shock 2016

    The Student National Medical Association (SNMA) of the UConn School of Medicine cordially invites the UConn community to Culture Shock, our annual charity fundraising event. The goal of Culture Shock is to celebrate diversity in our university with food, fashion, music, and dance. Proceeds from our fundraiser goes to SNMA and Mercy House and Shelter Cooperation in Hartford, CT. 

    Culture Shock will be held on Friday, December 9th 2016 in Keller Auditorium. Dinner starts at 7pm, and the fashion and talent show will start at 8pm

    We are selling tickets in the John Dempsey Hospital cafeteria all of next week between noon and 1pm. Ongoing sales on EventBrite Culture Shock

    Show only: $5

    Dinner only: $7

    Dinner + show: $10

    If you cannot make the show, we are also accepting donations for our fundraiser. You can donate during ticket sales in the John Dempsey Hospital cafeteria or on EventBrite Culture Shock by selecting the 'Donation" ticket and entering any amount.

    SNMA began in 1964 with the goal of supporting current and future underrepresented medical students, addressing the needs of underserved communities, and increasing the number of clinically excellent, culturally competent and socially conscious physicians.
