Search committee members are required to complete search committee training, facilitated by the Office of Institutional Equity and the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, before serving on a committee. Training workshops include AA/EEO compliance information, search process steps, and strategies for overcoming implicit bias in the search and hiring process.
Several sessions have been scheduled to provide search committee members the opportunity to fulfill this training requirement:

September 13, 2016 1-3:30 PM
October 13, 2016 9-11:30 AM
October 26, 2016 1-3:30 PM
November 15, 2016 9-11:30 AM
December 19, 2016 1-3:30 PM
All sessions are located in the Homer Babbidge Library Video Theater 2.
Staff members from The Office of Institutional Equity and The Office for Diversity and Inclusion are also available to conduct committee-specific training as needed.
Search committee training status will be verified prior to search approval. Committee members who have attended training after August 2014 have been given credit for their attendance.
