    Childhood Cancer sucks!

The university has had a long tradition of helping those in need. Many aspects of this come from fundraising events such as HuskyTHON. UConn Residential Life has partnered up with the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) to host a St. Baldrick’s Fundraising event here on campus. The event takes place on March 28th from 4-8 pm in the student union ballroom. All money raised goes directly to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a charity that funds childhood cancer research. Participants will shave their heads or donate eight inches of hair to stand in solidarity with those living with cancer. Volunteers and walk-ins are welcome! Hair donations will be sent to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, an organization that makes wigs for women who have lost their hair from cancer treatments. To sign up for the event please visit https://www.stbaldricks.org/events/mypage/12301/2016!

You do not have to shave your head to participate in this event, but we would appreciate any support that you can give us fundraising to end childhood cancer. Those who are ready to brave the shave we applaud your greatness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCVcTxn7sVA
