  • CSD Suggests Generic Language to Protect Privacy

It has come to the attention of the Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) that some faculty have stated, verbally and/or in writing, that only students registered with the CSD may use technology or recording devices in the classroom. The CSD suggests faculty use more generic language in order to protect the privacy of students with disabilities. For example, students may only use technology or recording devices in class with permission from the professor. Please schedule a time to meet with me during office hours to discuss.

The CSD website has resources for faculty with regards to students with disabilities in classes, labs, internships, clinical placements, etc. The resources can be found at:  http://csd.uconn.edu/facultystaff-resources/
